The Payment Details page is where you will select the type of expedited service. If this step does not appear, then we do not offer expedited services.

• Next Day:

  • Pay the fee ($50 or $100) 

  • Submit by 2:00PM EST to receive a filing response by 4:00PM EST the following business day

• Same Day:

  • Pay the fee ($200)

  • Submit by 10:00AM EST to receive a filing response by 4:00PM EST the same business day

• Timeframes are based on business days. Allow for additional time if you submit on a non-business day.

• Expedite fees are nonrefundable.

• Each expedited review requires an expedited fee. Resubmissions are not automatically expedited.

This page lists the filings that you may need during the lifecycle of your Virginia Stock Corporation. We encourage you to file online to save time and prevent processing errors.

The Clerk’s Information System or CIS is a new tool that makes it faster and easier to do business in Virginia. You can file papers, make payments, and manage business activities online at cis.scc.virginia.gov.

Let’s take a look at how you can pay your registration fees. Start by logging into the system. Payments are located under the online services tab – choose registration fee to get started.

You do not need a PIN to pay your registration fee, but you do need to locate your business, either by entering your business ID or by searching for business by name.

Once you locate your business, click on the button next to the business name to select it. Enter email address and contact information. This is where the electronic receipt will be sent.  Then, click Next. 

Add the fee to your shopping cart. Now, click go to payment. A pop up window will appear asking you to confirm that all of the information is correct. Click I agree to continue.

You can now enter your payment information. Please be sure to complete all contact information as well as the Captcha field. You have three options for payment. You can pay by business check, by credit card or with personal check. You will notice that most fields throughout the form are required, so please be sure to complete all of them before moving to the next step. Once all your information is entered, you can click continue to review your payment details.

Check the acknowledge box to confirm you want to make this payment, and then click pay now.
You have now successfully paid your online registration fee. There are many other useful things you can do online in CIS.  To learn more about them, or for help navigating CIS, visit the CIS help page from the right hand navigation. 

The only information that can be changed on the Annual Report whether you file online or manually is:

• The address of the principal office
• The names and addresses of the Directors and Officers

The following information may not be changed on an Annual Report:

• The name of a corporation
• The number of authorized shares (for stock corporations)
• The name or address of a corporation’s registered agent
