Medicare Supplement (Medigap) coverage is offered by private insurance companies to help fill the “gaps” Medicare doesn’t cover, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.  You generally must have Medicare Parts A and B to be eligible for a Medigap plan.

Medigap Plans A through N are not to be confused with the “parts” of Medicare, such as Parts A & B. Each Medigap plan must offer the same basic benefits, no matter which insurance company sells it. For example, Plan K from insurance company ABC must offer the same benefits as Plan K from insurance company XYZ.

Use the Medigap Premium Finder to help you shop companies offering Medigap coverage and compare annual premiums. The tool also allows you to compare benefits for each plan type.
