Copies and Certificates

The Clerk’s Office fulfills requests for certified and noncertified copies of business entity documents of record with the Commission. It also issues certificates of good standing, certificates of fact, and certificates to adjust property title records in circuit court (because of a business entity name change, merger, conversion or domestication).

To obtain a certificate or a copy of a document, please forward a written request to the Clerk’s Office with a check payable to “State Corporation Commission” for the appropriate fees. At present, we are not able to accept payments electronically. To obtain the number of pages in a document so you can properly calculate the payment, please contact the Clerk’s Office at (804) 371-9733 or toll-free in Virginia at 1-866-722-2551.
