For information about cases before the Commission, contact the Document Control Center of the Clerk’s Office where documents related to cases before the SCC are maintained. You may review unofficial copies of documents associated with Commission cases through the Docket Search portal. You may call to obtain official copies of documents for a fee, (804) 371-9838 or toll-free in Virginia at 1-866-722-2551. You also may visit the Document Control Center to review documents in person. The Document Control Center is in the Clerk’s Office, on the 1st floor of the Tyler Building.

Public Witnesses

Appearing as a public witness in a case before the Commission requires only that you arrive 15 minutes before the hearing begins and notify the Commission bailiff of your wish to testify. The Commission’s courtrooms are located on the 2nd floor of the Tyler Building. You are advised to call the bailiff before the hearing to be sure the case will proceed as scheduled.
